MOVING IN THE NEW

I went in there again! This time, into the place of my “NEWs”. The special place in my heart for those new experiences in my life that need special care. A place where they soak in God's truth and wisdom, for timely fulfilment. I look around and I see the importance of having this safe environment. An environment of faith, peace and joy in God, my Ever-Faithful Friend, My Lord Jesus!

I see the New things I am learning, the New opportunities, the New people, the New hopes and dreams, the New possibilities, New challenges, and the New plans I have with God.

New may be similar or familiar, but definitely not SAME. Every New comes with its own instructions, requirements and purpose. it will require a different mindset and attitude. It will surely demand faith and humility

It is very important to note that the presence of a New does not always mean rejection of what was before. What was before does not automatically become irrelevant. It might actually aid the New or become a strong foundation for it. We must respect the New in its uniqueness BUT we must also respect what has been before, for every good it has accomplished in our lives.

Your New may be the result of a good or bad decision, a loss or gain, a blessing from God, a fruit of the old or just a chance taken. Whatever the case, it is important to know that every New brings a string of other “News” with it. New opportunities, New results, New people to connect with, New hopes for the future, New lives to impact, New challenges that mould us, New ground to sow in and New harvest to come.

Not every New is ready for immediate announcement. This is a common mistake! Every New comes with specific timings attached. Time to receive it, or it’s time of arrival. Time to explore it privately with God and get to understand it. Time to put things in place for it or sort it out. Time to review your plans with God. Time to share it. All of these timings are found in the heart of God. He always knows the way forward in any situation, hence the importance of taking time with Him FIRST when New comes along.

In positive or negative News, His love, wisdom, mercy and grace abound! The safest place to explore a New is with God! Get to know and embrace His thoughts about it, His strategy for it, the changes, blessings or lessons that come with it.

James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.”

This is what the Lord is saying to us now… “Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it?...” (Isaiah 43:19) “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

So, what’s new with you? What is God up to IN you? Are you aware of it? Will you submit to His agenda? …Selah!

Staying sensitive to God’s heart in my lane, whilst encouraging you on in yours!
